Florence Healthcare Joins Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative

Atlanta, Georgia, July 6, 2022Florence Healthcare, a clinical trial software company that serves as the digital link between research sites, sponsors, and CROs, has joined the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative (CTTI).

Co-founded by Duke University and the FDA, the CTTI strives to create more inclusive, efficient, and high-quality clinical trials. The initiative now has more than 80 member organizations, including sponsors, sites, technology vendors, CROs, and patient advocacy groups.

Catherine Gregor, Florence Healthcare’s Chief Clinical Trials Officer, will serve as a member of the CTTI Steering Committee. When asked about Florence’s membership, she said, “Florence is committed to the mission of facilitating more inclusive and efficient clinical trials. I’m honored to have the opportunity to participate in a project like CTTI that is focused on improving patient outcomes and transforming how trial teams operate now and in the future.”

CTTI’s Transforming Trials 2030 vision states that in the next decade, clinical trials will be: 1) patient-centered and easily accessible; 2) fully integrated into health processes; 3) designed with a quality approach; 4) able to leverage all available data; and 5) committed to population health.

“Our mission is to double the output of clinical trials in the next decade. Joining CTTI is an important step on that mission,” says Gregor.

As a member of CTTI, Catherine Gregor will participate in CTTI events and discussions, exchange ideas with other stakeholders, join ongoing projects, and help spread CTTI’s recommendations throughout the industry.
