With 38 acres to adventure through, the San Antonio Botanical Garden is an amazing place to explore while visiting the city. Full of seasonal flowers, exhibits and creeks cutting through the property. The Garden is open from 9:00am to 5:00 pm daily with tickets just $12 per adult.
From tropical fish to sharks to tropical birds, the San Antonio Aquarium has all the wildlife you are looking for. The aquarium is open from 10 am to 8 pmdaily with Adult tickets costing $13.95 a piece.
Love the natural wonders of the world? Check out the Natural Bridge caverns that feature a 60-foot limestone slab bridge that spans across the otherworldly natural formation. There is also a ropes course and zip line! Adult Cavern tour tickets vary by day but generally are around $20.
The San Antonio River Walk is a city park with a web of sidewalks one story beneath the city spanning the banks of the San Antonio river. There are paid events and tours or simply walk the peaceful trails for free.
A historic Spanish mission and fortress compound founded in the 18th century. It is now a transformed into an educational site that can be explored by the public for free! You can always purchase guided tours but many exhibitions are free open of charge.
This World Famous San Antonio Landmark Café and Bakery has been serving traditional Tex-Mex food since 1941. The market now seats over 500 and is ever-evolving it’s cuisine while staying true to it’s Texas roots. If you are looking for traditional Tex-Mex and festive mariachis, this is the perfect place for you.
Not far from the Grand Hyatt, this down-home BBQ restaurant offers large portions of comfort food and good Texas eats. Quick counter service has menu items like smoked burgers, BBQ plates and BBQ sandwiches with all the yummy country sides you could ask for!
A hip local chain serving classic and creative Mexican dishes is a must-do for any visitor looking for a yummy yet trendy meal out. If you are looking for a great atmosphere with an affordable menu, this place is the spot for you!
